What is your favorite college memory?

My favorite college memory would be rushing the field during the Penn State football game in fall 2019. It was the first big football game of my freshman year, and it was so exciting being able to celebrate such a big win with all my friends! I was always a big sports fan in high school and I knew I would continue that in college, so it was awesome to experience UMN football game days every weekend.

What is your favorite class that you took in CLA? Is there a professor that you particularly enjoyed working with? How did they prepare you for the next phase of your life?

I've enjoyed all the classes I've taken through the Hubbard School for my minor; each one has been so different but so rewarding. I found a new love for advertising and PR because of my minor courses, and it has led me to pursue a career within these fields. All of the professors I've had in the Hubbard School want the best for you and want you to excel both inside and outside of the classroom. I've felt nothing but support from the staff.

What is your favorite study spot on campus?

Definitely the Graduate Hotel lobby! I love the environment and I find myself more productive in louder spaces compared to silent study areas. I also find it convenient being connected to Starbucks if I need a pick-me-up. It has also become a great meeting spot to catch up with friends, work on group projects, or just spend time alone between my classes.

Is there an app you hate but use anyways?

I've started to grow apart from Snapchat. It was fun a few years ago but I've found it less appealing as a form of communication. I will still use it because my friends are still on it, and I occasionally keep up with family members as well. However, I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years the app shuts down completely. I think there are good things about the app, which is why I still use it, but it has changed so much to a point where it isn't enjoyable to use anymore.

What's next for you? What are your post-graduation plans?

I'm currently applying to jobs within the advertising and PR world, so nothing is solidified yet! I will be living on campus for the remainder of the summer and hopefully will be living in the Minneapolis area in the fall. I've become much more of a "go with the flow" person, so I'm excited to see what's in store in my future!
