Five CLA Alumni Selected as 2024 Women in Business Honorees
Five CLA alumni have been selected as 2024 Women in Business honorees by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal. The award honors the most influential women in the Twin Cities, “including industry-leading executives, entrepreneurs and business owners.” Congratulations to Jana Cinnamon, Andrea Mokros, Alex West Steinman, Linda Hofflander, and Patrice Kloss for their achievement! Learn about each award winner below.

With a background in human resources, Cinnamon brings a holistic approach to leadership at Abdo, the Edina-based accounting and consulting firm. Abdo has increased its revenue by 70% and grown its employee count by 40% during her tenure as chief operating officer.

As executive vice president and chief public affairs officer at Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services, Mokros oversees government relations, communications, marketing and brand, community affairs, and the health care provider’s foundation. She also leads and champions the organization’s community health equity efforts.

In 2017, West Steinman co-founded The Coven, a coworking space with an emphasis on members who are women, nonbinary, trans or people of color. The Coven has now grown to over 1,000 members across five locations and launched a franchising business model to expand across the country.

Hofflander is head of strategy and growth and a co-founder of Carba Inc., a startup with a mission of combating climate change. The Eden Prairie-based company uses its proprietary technology to convert carbon into a solid, charcoal substance that is then buried underground.

Kloss is a Minneapolis partner at Fox Rothschild, a law firm with 29 offices across the country. As co-chair of its national medical technology practice group, she advises med-tech companies, emerging businesses and venture capital investors on a range of matters. She also assists lenders in commercial loan transactions.
