Milestone dates & decisions

Governor Dayton signed the 2018 capital projects bill passed by Minnesota legislators, thereby securing $24 million for the renovation of Pillsbury Hall
Project Executive Committee, Project Advisory Committee, and Project Steering Committee are appointed to oversee the project
JE Dunn Construction is selected as the construction manager; JE Dunn previously completed renovations of Northrop and the Minnesota State Capitol
Architecture Advantage (formerly Rafferty Rafferty Tollefson Lindeke Architects) continues as the architect of record for the project, and their Boston-based partner, Goody Clancy, will provide historic preservation-related experience on buildings similar to Pillsbury Hall

Schematic design development
Consultation with Minnesota State Historic Preservation Board
Public Art Committee formed; consultation with English faculty, staff, and students begins to frame questions and themes the public art should address
Fundraising feasibility study is conducted as the College seeks $12 million in new gifts to meet our financial goal

Project is complete
The Department of English and the Creative Writing Program move into the building
Grand re-opening celebration is held on September 17.
