Astrology as a Tool to Deepen Your Herbal Knowledge

Calling all astrology and plant nerds.

Join us for an interactive evening about the history of herbal medicine and astrology.

Julia Hollowell will share how astrology has enriched her understanding of the "personalities" of medicinal plants, and how she applies this to real-life client interactions. She'll discuss some of the more classic techniques of medical astrology like plant correspondences and reviewing client's natal (birth) chart, but she'll also demonstrate how you can start exploring the connections between plants and planets just by knowing a little bit about the 12 zodiac signs.

While some astrological techniques will be discussed in this talk Julia won't leave those new to astrology behind. There is plenty to learn for newcomers and seasoned practitioners alike.

Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to view the new "Plants and Planets" exhibit at the Wangensteen Historical Library, and get an exclusive, hands-on tour of some of the herbal and astrological items in the library's collection.

The event is in partnership with the North Country Herbalist Guild.
