Ana Forcinito Oyeme con los ojos: Cine, mujeres, visiones y voces La Habana, Cuba: Casa de las Américas, forthcoming 2018 |
|
Oyeme con los ojos: Cine, mujeres, visiones y voces [Listen to me with your eyes,: Cinema, women. visions and voices] studies the intersection of gazes and voices in some of the most important Argentine female filmmakers of the Twentieth century (María Luisa Bemberg, Lucrecia Martel, Albertina Carri, Lucía Puenzo, Sabrina Farji, Paula de Luque, Maria Victoria Menis, Lita Stantic, Anahí Berneri, Sandra Gugliotta and Gabriela David ). The book is supported both by the study of the historical contexts of the films and by a solid feminist, philosophical and cinematographic theoretical framework. According to the jury that awarded the literary prize, "the acoustic and visual record, anchored in discourse analysis, is incorporated through effective and solid arguments into the conceptual apparatus used by the author. Because of its eloquence, conceptual clarity and historical anchoring, this text deserves to be considered a classic in its genre.” |
