Introducing Benjamin Cummins, Executive Office and Administrative Specialist

Benjamin Cummins (he/him) is thrilled to be part of the School of Statistics as the Executive Office and Administrative Specialist. Before coming to the U, he worked in administrative roles in performance venues in Minneapolis. With over 10 years of experience as a professional musician and educator and more than 5 years in arts administration and management, his main drive is guiding others to Self-empowerment at work by forming robust connections with all.

Originally from Memphis, TN, he earned a Master’s in Music from the University of North Texas after completing a Bachelor of Music at the University of Southern Mississippi. As a clarinetist and educator, Benjamin maintained a regular performance schedule and had a private studio of middle and high school students across Dallas-Fort Worth before moving to the Twin Cities in 2021. Apart from classical music, he enjoys coffee, cooking, hiking, and crocheting.
