Alumna Dr. Lindsey Dietz Featured in National Art Exhibit

School of Statistics Alumna Dr. Lindsey Dietz has recently been featured in a national exhibit titled “#IfThenSheCan -- The Exhibit”. This art exhibit includes over 120 3D printed statues of female STEM professionals and role models from industries such as business, academia, sports, and entertainment, aiming to celebrate their accomplishments as well as encourage other girls to pursue a future in STEM.

Not only is Dr. Lindsey Dietz a quantitative leader at the Federal Reserve System, but she is a hall of fame athlete and an IF/THEN Ambassador empowering both current innovators in the STEM field as well as the next generation of women interested in STEM. In addition to this, she is a co-leader for R-Ladies, a group that devotes its efforts to inspiring and educating women who code.

Dr. Lindsey Dietz is also the Founder and Planning Committee Chair of the annual noRth Conference held by the Institute for Research in Statistics and its Applications (IRSA) at the University of Minnesota every Fall. This regional conference aims to broaden the audience’s knowledge of R and connect the R community, whether that be virtually or face to face.
