Xinagrong Yin Elected Fellow of the ASA and IMS

Xiangrong Yin, who obtained his PhD from the School in 2000 working with Dennis Cook, was recently elected Fellow of both the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics ... "For pioneering work on sufficient dimension reduction and sufficient variable selection, especially in developing innovative methods for large p small n data problems; for excellence in mentoring graduate students; and for notable service to the profession." The award ceremonies will take place at the 2019 Joint Statistical Meeting in Denver. Congratulations, Xiangrong!
