2021-2022 Mainstage Culled Play List: Feedback Request to the Department

Thank you to all those who participated in the Season Selection Play & Proposal Submission Process. From the titles you proposed for the 2021-22 mainstage season, the BA Theatre Arts Season Selection Committee has culled the list down to just a few pieces! Please fill out this google form at z.umn.edu/SSC_CulledList to state your claim on which titles you would like to see in our 2 available slots. Open to UMTAD students, faculty, and staff.  

Responses are due by Monday Dec 14th at noon.

Since receiving the proposals, the committee has culled the proposal list down to 4 scripts and a CALL for MORE New Musical Proposals and are seeking feedback from the FULL DEPARTMENT on this list. The Season Selection Committee have voted that our FALL Main Stage Production will be a PLAY and our SPRING MainStage production will be a MUSICAL.

These Plays & Musicals will be considered for the 2 Departmental Theatre Main Stage Productions, collaborating amongst BA Theatre Arts, MFA Design & Technology, and MA/PhD.

About the Season Selection Committee

The Season Selection Committee is a group of faculty, students and staff that curates production seasons to enliven the intersections between the BA, MFA and MA/PhD programs of study. The 2020-21 committee members include:  Alexa Lewis, Ani Mosity, Chelsea Masteller Warren, Christine Swartout, Dave Michaeli, Jacob Badovski, Jason Allyn-Schwerin, John Patterson, Kimberly Lawler, Kyra Rahn, Lisa Channer, Rachel Brees, Sara Pillatzki-Warzeha, Sonja Kuftinec and Talvin Wilks.
