My work revolves around escaping time and place in favor of identifying broader ideas about culture, as it is reflected in the objects produced by it. Although separated from their particular history and geography, the objects I make, nonetheless pay homage to the timeless traditions from which they emerge, while being revitalized as products of contemporary enquiries about place, culture and belongingness.
