Wayne Potratz Archive: Selections from the Collection
Public Reception, Dedication & Talk by Nor Hall, author of "Irons in the Fire"

Exhibition featuring the iconic t-shirts that document the Iron Pour from its inception to now, and select materials from the Wayne Potratz Archive related to 45 years of the growth of the contemporary movement in cast iron art at the University of Minnesota. The archive is a new acquisition to the University of Minnesota Archives and Special Collections.

James L. Hayes, Rian Kerrane and Michał Staszczak will give talks in conjunction with their residency during IRON50, the 50th Annual University of Minnesota Iron Pour and related programs.

50th Annual University of Minnesota Iron Pour

University of Minnesota Foundry, Regis Center for Art

The public iron pour will feature three international visiting artists, the University of Minnesota foundry class and students from regional art programs. Featured events will include pouring community molds and performances. Participating colleges: Macalester College and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Conducted by Gabriel Akagawa, Foundry Tree Director. Join the international online Iron-Casting Artists Database by having your picture taken in full leathers or civilian attire. Each person will be added to the website at www.foundrytree.com.
 

50 x 50: UMN Cast Iron Alumni

Join us for a reception to celebrate the 50 x 50: UMN Cast Iron Alumni exhibition in the Quarter Gallery as part of IRON 50, the 50th Anniversary of the University of Minnesota Iron Pour. The exhibition runs May 1-24, 2019. z.umn.edu/quarter.
