Exhibition featuring the iconic t-shirts that document the Iron Pour from its inception to now, and select materials from the Wayne Potratz Archive related to 45 years of the growth of the contemporary movement in cast iron art at the University of Minnesota. The archive is a new acquisition to the University of Minnesota Archives and Special Collections.

50th Annual University of Minnesota Iron Pour

University of Minnesota Foundry, Regis Center for Art
The public iron pour will feature three international visiting artists, the University of Minnesota foundry class and students from regional art programs. Featured events will include pouring community molds and performances. Participating colleges: Macalester College and Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Join us for a reception to celebrate the 50 x 50: UMN Cast Iron Alumni exhibition in the Quarter Gallery as part of IRON 50, the 50th Anniversary of the University of Minnesota Iron Pour. The exhibition runs May 1-24, 2019. z.umn.edu/quarter.
