Asian Pacific American Resource Center

Offers academic support, peer mentoring, and other resources related to AAPI identity. This new center on campus "is committed to ensuring AAPI [Asian American Pacific Islander] students achieve academic success, affirming AAPI student identity, and engaging the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities to better support AAPI students."

Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence (MCAE) Instructional Center

Offers face-to-face drop-in tutoring in writing and STEM fields.

SMART Learning Commons

Offers drop-in support for selected gateway courses in both individual and small group formats, as well as research and technology assistance at various locations on the East Bank, West Bank, and St. Paul campuses. Also sponsors special events such as academic success workshops and pre-exam review sessions.

Spanish Writing Center

Offers face-to-face tutoring on a walk-in basis and by appointment, and online tutoring (writers who submit their work online should allow 48 hours for a response). Available to Spanish majors and minors and to students in any 3000-level class that is taught primarily in Spanish.

Student English Language Support

Offers free, face-to-face English as a second language support to international undergraduate students. Sponsored by the Minnesota English Language program, SELS is designed for students who want to address a particular English language need to be more successful at the U of M.
