Why did you choose to major in English?

Because of my inspirational English teachers throughout middle and high school, as well as my love for reading and writing.

What has been your favorite part of your experience in the department?

I have enjoyed meeting not only the professors but other English major students engaging in interesting discussions extending beyond the literature we read to the application within society.

Are you pursuing any majors, minors, internships, or interests outside your English major?

I am majoring in English and Strategic Communications: Advertising & Public Relations with a minor in Sports Coaching in the DirectTrack program. I feel as though they all intersect, allowing me to build multiple different skill sets as well as contextualize content within my English classes.

What is a favorite book you read for an English class?

I enjoyed reading the sonnet collection of [Philip Sidney's] Astrophel and Stella in my British literature class!

What is your favorite thing about Pillsbury Hall?

I love the spiral staircase and the quotes on the wooden art pieces spread throughout the building.
