Why did you choose to major in English?

English covers such a variety of topics and issues that it can be relevant and fun for anybody, and as an aspiring teacher it’s the topic that interests me the most.

Are you pursuing any majors, minors, internships, or interests outside your English major?

I’m in the DirecTrack to English Education program, which is a great opportunity to work with youth in classroom settings to both gain experience and serve the community.

What is a favorite book you read for an English class?

Waste Tide by Chen Qiufan is incredible. It’s a sci-fi novel that incorporates themes of environmentalism and post-colonialism in really interesting ways.
