When Microsoft software engineer Lara Rubbelke (BA '92, English) was earning her liberal arts degree, she was training her mind to look for algorithms in the works of art she studied. The skills she developed in both communication and analytical problem-solving helped her combine two seemingly opposite disciplines into her career.
