Our Response to the Murder of George Floyd
How we here in the History Department are responding to this tragedy
We here in the History Department have watched with outrage as the events unfold around the unjust death of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis Police Department. We want to extend our condolences to the Family of George Floyd for all they have endured and continue to go through. There is a long history of senseless brutality against citizens of color. Minneapolis must do its part to end this pattern today. We stand with the University's divestment from MPD. And we stand with Black Lives Matter.
