Congratulations & Farewell to Agnes Malika

Agnes Malika, who has long served as the curricular and finance coordinator for the Language Center, and recently became the first graduate program and curricular coordinator for the Language Center / Linguistics administrative hub, is leaving for a promotional opportunity.

Beginning April 3, 2023, Agnes will serve as the new administrator for the African American and African Studies (AAAS) department, another unit she has supported for many years.

Agnes is known for her welcoming presence, her dedication to serving students, her support for African languages, and her willingness to take on new challenges and opportunities. In addition to pioneering a position for a new administrative hub, she recently served as the administrator for the Language Center director search. She will be greatly missed at the Language Center, but she will be an asset to the AAAS department.
