Language Center Computer Classroom Improvements
The Language Center is pleased to announce the following upgrades and other improvements for the computer classrooms:
- Jones 10: All computers have been upgraded with new iMac M1 computers. Students and instructors should not experience any changes in functionality, and the new computers are faster and more reliable.
- Jones 30 & 35: Ceiling panels have been installed to improve the conferencing and recording experience. These panels aim to reduce echo, and improve room acoustics.
- All Classrooms: All four classrooms include a fixed document camera. In addition, there is now a portable IPEVO VZ-X Wireless Document Camera available in Jones 5, which can be brought to your room by request. This camera can be used as an additional video feed for conferencing or to capture materials in higher-resolution .
The computer classrooms, like other learning spaces, are available for reservation at z.umn.edu/LCRR. Feedback on these changes, and requests for other improvements are appreciated and can be sent to elsie@umn.edu.
