JP Gamboa has accepted a two-year postdoc position at the Minnesota Center for Philosophy of Science, starting in August 2024. JP is completing his PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science at The University of Pittsburgh this summer and completed his MA in Neuroscience there in 2022. The Universität Tübingen, Germany, awarded JP an MS in Philosophy in 2015. JP's interests are interdisciplinary and concentrated in the history and philosophy of cognitive sciences, especially neuroscience. His research project will focus on the sense in which neural structures communicate information, and the limitations of that conceptual framework for explaining behavior and mental phenomena.

We welcome JP to the MCPS community.

This postdoctoral fellowship is made possible by a generous donation to MCPS. It is intended that MCPS will host two postdocs each for two years. Another postdoc position will be posted for August 2025.
