Twin Cities Jazz Composers Workshop Master Class Featuring JC Sanford

The Twin Cities Jazz Composers' Workshop will present its second master class event on Friday, March 30 at 10 am in Ferguson Hall, Room 280. Minnesota based composer and TCJCW co-founder JC Sanford will discuss differing uses of melodic development in large ensemble jazz writing, particularly as employed by Bob Brookmeyer, using several visual and audio musical examples as a means of demonstration. The event is free and open to the public. Jazz composers of all levels of experience, in particular, are encouraged to attend. It will also be streamed via Facebook Live. Learn more.
