1. CONNECT! Schedule an appointment with a Psychology Advisor!

Making connections is a crucial part of your undergraduate experience, especially within your major. Psychology Undergraduate Advising would like to invite you to schedule an appointment to simply CONNECT. Psychology Advisors hold a great deal of psychology-related experience: we have worked in a wide variety of psychology-related positions, completed both undergraduate and graduate programs in psych, traveled and studied abroad, and completed internships and maintained connections with alumni and current graduate students who are working in the field. Relationship building is important, so if there is an advisor with whom you have met in the past, or has experience in something that you are interested in, feel free to request to meet with that specific advisor. October is a great month for these types of appointments; act now before the rush!

Feel free to bring any additional games you would like to play with others, but we do ask that the games are appropriate. 10. Group Therapy at Boynton Mental Health Clinic

Group Therapy programming is back at the Boynton Mental Health Clinic! Group therapy sessions are a safe, confidential space to share and explore concerns and learn new strategies for overcoming challenges. Group therapy sessions are open to all students unless otherwise indicated. To get started with a group, call 612-624-1444. Me & My ADHD and You 2.0 will remain open this semester so students can join anytime. Questions can be directed to boynton.umn.edu.

11. Boynton's Health's Nutritious U Food Pantry

12:00 - 5:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th full week of the month, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Boynton’s Health’s Nutritious U Food Pantry is an on-campus, free food pantry available to any graduate and undergraduate student attending the University of Minnesota. The food pantry is open from 12:00 p.m. - to 5:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th full week of the month, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. October dates are 10th - 11th & 24th - 25th. Students may come once per pantry week (Tuesday or Wednesday), meaning one or two times per month. Please direct questions to Natalie Gerkin, Pantry Coordinator, at gerki006@umn.edu.

13. Pláticas: Latinx Connection Space

Pláticas: Latinx Connection Space is a virtual weekly group for Latina/e/o/x undergraduate and graduate students to come together and discuss specific needs, themes, challenges, joys, and identities in our community. Some of the themes we may discuss include colorism, language, belongingness, indigeneity, mestizaje, gender roles, religion and spirituality, immigration, and ongoing events that impact our people and communities. We acknowledge that within the Latinx community, there are many different identities, experiences, and preferences in how we describe ourselves. We invite this variety in lived experiences and trust that each of our identities and stories will add to our group and discussions. Sometimes we can wonder if we belong and if these spaces are for us. We want to honor how vulnerable it can be to consider joining a community space and hope to affirm your belonging and enoughness. 20. Call For Undergraduate Research Papers!

Have you completed a research paper in a psychology-related field (i.e. psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, linguistics)? Are you looking for a platform to publish your work? If so, The Undergraduate Research Journal of Psychology at UCLA (URJP) wants you to submit your papers for our annual publication, expected to be released in Spring 2024. URJP is an organization dedicated to informing the community of psychological findings through research run by undergraduates from all over the world. Last year, they received submissions from both local and international universities. URJP is one of the few established psychology journals that publishes undergraduate psychological research. Submitted papers must be original work completed by undergraduates (Includes senior honors theses, independent research, reviews, theoretical papers, and other scholarly writing)and have never before been published. The deadline to submit papers has been extended to November 15, 2023, at 11:59 P.M. PST. Multiple submissions from one author are welcome. 21. TRIO McNair Scholars - Applications Due November 9th

The TRIO McNair Scholars Program is more than a research program. 24. Executive Function Coach

We are HIRING! - LifeFx is an Executive Function Coaching program embracing the strengths of the neurodiverse brain. We work with individuals of all ages and stages. 25. Clinical Research Coordinator

The Research Data Associate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Anxiety, Stress, and Prolonged Grief Program (ASPGP) at the Department of Psychiatry, NYU Langone Health. The Research Data Associate will provide support for the coordination of studies focusing on the phenomenology, biology, and treatment of anxiety, PTSD, and grief-related disorders under direct PI supervision. The overarching role of the Research Data Associate is to provide assistance in the recruitment of research participants, data entry and analyses, and other support duties in compliance with Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, and required obligations to participants, the PI, the research team, and the sponsor. To qualify you must have an Associate’s degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
