Harold Anderson Scholarship

The Harold C. Anderson scholarship is funded by friends who wish to commemorate Dr. Anderson's generosity and support of students of the University of Minnesota, as well as his interest in religious studies. The 2026 Anderson Scholarship cycle has closed. Winners will be announced in the fall of 2026. Please be on the lookout in the Spring of 2027 for the next cycle. Roetzel Family Research Scholarship

The Roetzel Family Research Scholarships are funded by the generous support of Dr. Cal Roetzel, who played a significant role in establishing the Religious Studies program at the University of Minnesota. The awards fund independent research projects for undergraduate Religious Studies students (Majors, Minors, and Islamic Studies Minors), with a special emphasis on Capstone projects. Please be on the lookout for calls for applications each semester, but do not hesistate to reach out to [email protected] if you have a project you'd like to propose.

Religious Studies Student Support

The Religious Studies Student Support Fund is funded by a generous gift from Sandra Almquist (1938-2023) and Reverend Doctor Robert Almquist (1930-2022). The fund provides support to students, undergraduate and graduate, with an academic interest in Religious Studies. Please be on the lookout in the Spring of 2027 for the next cycle.
