He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics.

His academic interests are the theory and history of international politics, power politics, imperialism, and asymmetric political interactions. His research focuses on the role of anarchy and nature in power politics. His dissertation studies the strategic transformation of environments in the context of military occupations.
