Samantha Laumann

Samantha Jenee Laumann, soprano, is a passionate vocalist, actress and musical theatre pedagogist in the Twin Cities who has performed and music directed in equity and non-equity theatre houses across America. Notable works include The Messiah, The Chichester Psalms, The Royal Fireworks, and Brahms Requiem,Pirates of Penzance, The Gondoliers, Cosi Fan Tutte, Idomeneo, Orpheus and the Underworld. Musical appearances include Little Women, Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, Les Misérables, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Godspell. 

Early in her career she became passionate in teaching pedagogy and pursued a career in teaching, vocal coaching and music directing. She has served the local community by performing workshops for Missed the Boat Theatre, and the Guthrie Theatre. She served as vocal director for The Little Mermaid, Les Miserables, Urinetown, Brigadoon, Cole Porter's Ambassador's Revue, The Reluctant Dragon in the Twin Cities as well as Anastasia, James and the Giant Peach, Holiday Inn, Anything Goes for University of Northwestern Saint Paul, and Edges, Bohemian Flats, Evidence of V, and Ride the Cyclone at the University of Minnesota. This spring she is working on a collaboration with Theatre Lattè Da and the University of Minnesota on their upcoming production of Spring Awakening. 

Samantha holds a Masters of Music in Musical Theatre Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as well as additional certifications in Voice Pedagogy from The Boston Conservatory and Berklee School of Music, CCM© from Shenandoah University, MTVP© from BroadwayVox, Somatic Voiceworks© from Baldwin- Wallace University, and the Visceral Voice© from NYC and Penn State University. 

Ms. Laumann is a seasoned lecturer of voice and musical theatre with the BFA Acting Program and additionally serves as a teaching specialist for the University of Minnesota's School of Music.
