High musical standards and quality human experience are the core values of the ensemble program. You will become part of a musical family, as interaction with your fellow ensemble members extends beyond the rehearsal room and concert hall. The warmth and musicianship of your ensemble community will lead to inspired performances and lasting friendships.

Students in the University orchestras, wind ensembles, and choruses have the unique opportunity to study and perform the great masterworks in ensemble literature. Exploring these works, not only mastering the practical playing and singing aspects of performance, but also living in the spiritual and psychological realm of each piece, is some of the most important work we do at the School of Music. We learn from each other, master composers, and great musicians in order to give performances of the highest level. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.
