Joined the Exchange Program in Fall 2024.

I am currently completing the second year of my master’s in History and Civilization of the English-speaking world at the Université Paris Cité while being a teaching assistant at the UMN French Department teaching French undergraduate beginner classes. 

My master’s dissertation is “Jesse Jackson’s 1988 presidential campaign and the unionization of the South”, a topic that allows me to dive into US history by covering my main interests: its labor history, racial relations and politics. I am also interested in topics around immigration, carcerality, opiod crises, working-class studies, the place of food in culture, Black and Black American history, culture and literature.
