Why French & Italian?
Undergraduate students in French & Italian join supportive learning environments led by experienced instructors—many from French- or Italian-speaking countries—who help build language skills applicable to culture, history, literature, film, and linguistics. Travel opportunities and career advising broaden students' worldview and open doors to international job markets.
Through small, interactive courses, students build practical language skills while exploring the cultures, histories, literature, film, and ideas of France, Italy, and the global Francophone world.
- Close connections: Small class sizes and dedicated instructors create space for meaningful discussion and active learning.
- Beyond the classroom: Study abroad, internships, research, cultural events, and individualized career advising extend learning into real-world experience.
- Career-ready skills: Communication, cultural understanding, and adaptability prepare students to travel confidently and pursue careers in business, international affairs, education, media, the arts, and public service.
