Graduate Diversity Recruitment Weekend

The Graduate Diversity Recruitment Weekend event is sponsored by the Department of Geography, Environment and Society (GES) and the Department of Anthropology at the University of Minnesota. It is designed for students who are historically underrepresented in GES and Anthropology graduate programs and who are interested in learning about graduate training in these departments at the University of Minnesota. This program will feature a coordinated set of formal and informal experiences designed to familiarize participants with strategies for constructing successful graduate school applications and provide them with the opportunity to learn more about the experience of graduate education in our departments.

McNair Summer Visitation Program

Please also visit the Graduate School Diversity Office's information and resources page specifically for McNair Scholars!

During the summer, the Graduate School Diversity Office, in collaboration with the Graduate School Admissions Office, invites McNair Programs to the Graduate School Visitation Program held once per month (June, July, and August) on the Twin Cities campus. The day consists of a presentation about the process of applying for admission to graduate programs. The students meet with faculty and staff to discuss their research and receive a staff-led tour of the campus.
