Curating Across Cultures: Building Artistic Bridges in a Time of War

Sharon Toval was invited to exhibit in the United Arab Emirates after the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020 and again this past February, even in the midst of a war that has captured global attention. Toval will focus on his recent exhibition, "Unveiling Human Echoes," that opened on February 2 as part of the Ras Al Khaimah Art 2024 Festival. As a curator operating extensively in the international arena and during these challenging times for all of humanity, he presents an exhibition that serves as a call to heal and reflect on our shared human experience.
Raised in France and Israel, Sharon Toval received his master’s degree from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. He is a Tel Aviv-based independent art curator and owns and curates The Lab, one of the few art spaces in Israel dedicated to experimenting with art, its boundaries, definitions, concepts, and visual outcomes.
