Research

Our faculty and students are constantly creating new knowledge and tackling some of the most compelling issues we face.

On This Page:

The Center for Jewish Studies, as a premier center for scholarship, education, and dialogue about Jewish history and culture, serves as the intellectual hub for scholars from diverse fields conducting research in Jewish studies. From the biblical era until today, from the historical to the theoretical, our faculty are engaged in ongoing contributions to criticism and scholarship within the field.

There is a rhythm to faculty research, starting with the early investigative phases and moving to the drafting of papers, articles and chapters, presentation at colloquia and conferences, and eventual publication. The Center for Jewish Studies provides an engaging home to its scholars throughout this process. The Faculty Research page presents an incomplete but representative sampling of current faculty research within the Center for Jewish Studies, in all of its stages.
