Professor Savelsberg giving public lecture

We believe in the importance of bridging our academic activities and the interests of our community. Our annual speaker series is our signature event, and we host and sponsor a wide variety of other programs including:

On-Campus Lectures and Conferences

Forums that address stimulating, timely issues in Jewish studies that are open to students, faculty, and community members.

Off-Campus Events

As part of our commitment to connect campus to community, we hold regular events off-campus, including:

  • The Annual Community Lecture Series - To view recordings of past lectures from this series, please visit our YouTube channel.
  • Lectures and presentations intended for smaller audiences, including small-group discussions, held at area synagogues and other places of worship, community centers, and other gathering places in the Twin Cities. Topics range from Jewish history and culture, to global affairs, to the Holocaust, and are intended to bring students, faculty, and the larger community together. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting such an event and have a topic in mind.
