The Language Center is pleased to invite University of Minnesota graduate students to participate in the following series of three workshops.
- Becoming Reflective Researcher-Practitioners: Making Meaning of Classroom Experience and Academic Culture: February 11, 2022, Presented by Ann Abbott, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Balance in Movement: Transforming Teaching Practice Through and into Scholarship: February 25, 2022, Presented by Chantelle Warner, University of Arizona
- The Teaching Portfolio: Applying Research Strategies to Communicate the Quality of Your Teaching: March 18, 2022, Presented by Stacey Margarita Johnson, Vanderbilt University
These workshops are thematically linked and will focus on the importance of teaching as scholarship; reflecting on and carrying out the scholarship of teaching; balancing teaching, research, and other responsibilities; and presenting yourself as a teacher-scholar.
Current University of Minnesota graduate students in language-related academic programs who attend all three sessions will be offered a certificate of completion and a $50 incentive. Details about the $50 incentive will be sent via email to students who register.
