CARLA Summer Institutes

The Language Center, in conjunction with the Center for Applied Research in Language Acquisition (CARLA) offers intensive training in technology to K-16 language teachers in Minnesota, the US and the global community.

We offer a week long institute during the summer. Some of the topics include:

• "Digital Storytelling" as a concept, focusing on text
• Working with images (searching, editing, Voki, VoiceThread, Comic Life)
• Working with audio (searching, producing, editing, Audacity, online drop box and retrieval)
• Working with video (searching, producing, editing, iMovie)
• Assessment
