Alumnae Quintet Invites Woodwind Students to Join quINTENS!VE Chamber Music Camp

Chione Quintet

The Chione Quintet invites music students entering the 7th-12th grade and playing woodwind quintet instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn) to join them for their summer chamber music camp quINTENS !VE (August 1-4, 2018).

The Chione Quintet is a Twin Cities-based ensemble featuring U of M School of Music alumnae Bethany Gonella (DMA, 2018, flute, student of Immanuel Davis), Susan Miranda (BA, 2017, oboe, student of Basil Reeve), and Alexandra Berndt (DMA, 2016, bassoon/music theory, student of John Miller), as well as Weily Shay (clarinet) and Allison Akins (horn). Jenna McBride-Harris (horn) and Hui Zhang (MM, 2018, bassoon, student of John Miller) will join as additional faculty and performers at quINTENS!VE.

quINTENS!VE students will have the opportunity to work with specialized professionals in each instrument, attend supplementary classes, and perform in a final concert with their student ensembles and in a side-by-side ensemble with the Chione Quintet.
