Fall 2018 Music Education Colloquium Featured Guest Jeffrey Kimpton

On Thursday, November 15, 2018, former president of one of the oldest arts/arts education organizations in the country, Interlochen, Jeffrey Kimpton delivered the Fall 2018 Music Education Colloquium titled “Moving Forward By Looking Back: The role of experience in pragmatic leadership." Professor Kimpton brought his perspective as a national leader in K-12 and higher education arts/music education, for-and non-profit work, consulting, private philanthropy and program/professional development to a thought-provoking conversation on the future of music education, reflecting on the past, trends in higher education, and his commitment to community-connected leadership. Participants included faculty from various divisions, undergraduate students, graduate students, and community members.
