Professor Guerino Mazzola Interviewed on the Ghanaian origins of Jazz

Guerino Mazzola (creative studies and media) gave two public interviews during his recent visit to Kumasi/Ghana on the Ghanaian origins of Jazz. The first interview at Kessben TV with David Adjei Fripong took place on December 20, 2017. The second interview with Gabriel Jantuah at the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology Radio station Focus took place on December 21, 2017. These interviews are related to Mazzola and Akosua Add’s (music education) research project “Connecting Ghanaian Rhythmic Tradition to the Genealogy of US-American Jazz in Music Theory, Ethnology, Artistic Practice, and Education.”
