Health Justice
The Health Justice Research Circle is a cross-collegiate, multidisciplinary group focused on critical race theory, health equity, and health disparities research. Our collaborative is a hub for innovation in the area for health justice on and off campus.
Scholars from the Academic Health Center and College of Liberal Arts, in disciplines ranging from bioethics and gender, women, & sexuality studies to global studies and pharmaceutical care and health systems, come together in the Health Justice Research Circle. Together, these scholars seek to develop curriculum and community-based participatory research opportunities, as well as to raise the profile of existing courses, resources, and partnerships related to racial justice and health equity. The research circle is also committed to preparing underrepresented students of color from all disciplines to utilize knowledge about health equity and disparities to take into multiple professions as well as laying the groundwork for a pipeline into public health professions, the humanities, the social sciences, health law, and policy.
