Education Justice

The Education Justice Research Circle is a collaborative, cross-collegiate, and interdisciplinary group that brings a powerful set of frameworks and community partnerships to the issue of educational justice. Work is centered in critical ethnic studies, anti-racism, and democratic pedagogies to address the multi-faceted problem of educational inequality.

Scholars from the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Education and Human Development, in disciplines ranging from African American history and social work to art history and educational psychology, come together in the Education Justice circle to develop innovative curriculum in ethnic studies, innovative teacher development workshops, performance-based dialogues, and assessment tools to elevate public discourse on education justice and foster more equitable outcomes for all students in Minnesota.
