The use of artificial intelligence (AI) to generate text for any documents in your graduate school admissions portfolio is prohibited. The purpose of your portfolio is to showcase your authentic voice and abilities and to reflect your unique perspective, not to submit work that has been substantially generated by a machine. If you require AI tools either (i) to translate text that you originally wrote in another language without AI assistance into English, or (ii) to polish grammar and spelling in your original English text if English is not your first language, you must provide a clear acknowledgment at the end of the document. For example: “This statement was translated from Spanish into English using an AI translation tool.” Or: "An AI editing tool was used to edit the grammar of this statement."
