What sets our programs apart?

Along with a broad grounding in all major areas of philosophy, you will acquire specialized and advanced knowledge of a chosen area of research. In addition, you will work closely with faculty advisors throughout your time in the program, encouraging the ability to think critically and analytically. We are proud that in a scholarly field dominated by men, 51% of our graduates are women.

What are our graduates doing?

As a graduate of this department, you will have a variety of options available. Our MA program is designed for students with a career outside of philosophy who would like to add an advanced degree in philosophy to their credentials, while the PhD program aims to prepare students for an academic career in philosophy or related disciplines.
