Welcome to Daniel Card!

The Department of Writing Studies is pleased to announce that Daniel Card will be joining us as a term faculty member with the rank of assistant professor. Daniel is currently completing his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he studies professional and technical communication and the rhetoric of science and technology. In general, this broad interest has led to projects on transdisciplinary collaboration, pharmaceutical policymaking, environmental regulation, and a National Science Foundation Innovation Corps grant to develop and test writing technology. His current work explores the use of natural language processing tools to collect and analyze data for research in technical communication and rhetoric. Welcome, Daniel!
