Idman has a strong passion for advocating for students from marginalized backgrounds. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Gender and Women’s Studies from Minnesota State University, Mankato. During her time at university, she served as a student representative, where she worked to create inclusive spaces, expand resources, and mentor first-generation students. Idman also served as a trustee for the Minnesota State system, where she contributed to supporting students in their educational journeys at the system level. She holds a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health and is pursuing a Master of Public Policy with a focus on Global Policy. Outside of her academic and advocacy work, she enjoys reading and volunteering in her community.
