Supporting students as they clarify and pursue their interests and goals is what motivates me in my work. I lead the career coaching team and student engagement initiatives, with a focus on ensuring that career support is excellent, accessible, and integrated into the experience of every CLA student.

As an undergrad, I felt uncertain about where my career path would lead me. I studied Political Science and completed a domestic policy internship in DC after my junior year. The internship helped me cross something off of the list - I did not want to do policy work after graduation, I wanted to do more direct work. I learned about AmeriCorps from a friend in the spring of my senior year and was drawn to AmeriCorps NCCC, a hands-on, team-based, traveling program, as a first step after graduation. From there I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA then worked with a few nonprofits as I gained experience and discovered my enthusiasm for working with college students and in higher education. I love the cadence of the academic year, the energy of this transitional time in life for students, and the deep collaboration this work entails.

I live in Minneapolis with my partner, two busy and joyful young daughters, and two mischievous cats. I love spending time outside, planning for adventures (large or small), and sharing meals with friends and family.
