Join us for an in-person public program from 6:00 - 6:30 PM with a few words from the Department of Art faculty and the BA and BFA 2022 cohorts, followed by a joint in-person reception with light refreshments outdoors, rain or shine, at the Regis Center for Art.

About the Exhibition
(Minneapolis) — The Department of Art at the University of Minnesota presents Where We Find Ourselves, a group exhibition of twenty-six Bachelor of Arts candidates about to complete their degrees in studio art at the University of Minnesota. Works in the exhibition provide an outlet to think, reflect, come to terms with, and navigate our world—inside and out. The exhibition represents a diverse array of media including animation, ceramics, digital and analog drawing, film, mixed-media installation, painting, photography, sculpture, sound, and zine-making. It considers this moment in time and the incredible forward momentum this group of artists possesses as they take the next step in their practice.

Artists in the exhibition include Stefanie Amundsen, Veronica Buczak, Nicole Cerniglia, Zoe Champoux, Alana Cisneros, Jacklyn Dahl, Melanie Gomez Mejia, Emi Hasty, Kalaya, Lauren Lacera, Megan Lasota, Zoe Long, Magdalene Mcclun, Sierra Messner, Brian Moua, Andrew Nystrom, Evelyn Parma, Gretchen Pickering, Tessa Quale, Misty Rowan, Sumayo Salah, Arman Sarda, Ella Van Haren, Ruofeng Wang, Sarah Willrodt, and Rebecca Zamora-Green.

Planning Your Visit

The Regis West Gallery is a sister gallery to the Katherine E. Nash Gallery and is operated by the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota. We are located in the Regis Center for Art (West Building), 41821st Ave. S., Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55455.

The galleries are open to University faculty, staff, and students as well as the entire community. Gallery hours are: Tuesdays and Fridays, 11 am - 5 pm; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 am - 7 pm; Saturdays, 11 am - 3 pm. The Regis West Gallery is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Covid-19 Access Policy
The entry doors at the Regis Center for Art building are locked. University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students may enter the building with their UCard. Members of the public should come to the main entry doors of the East Building at 405 21st Avenue South and call the Gallery front desk at 612-624-7530. A gallery Attendant will let you inside the building. All visitors must wear a mask when inside the Katherine E. Nash Gallery and masks are strongly encouraged in the Regis West Gallery.

Parking
The Regis Center for Art is accessible via Metro Transit's Blue Line, Green Line, and bus routes 2 and 7. Parking is available nearby on the street, at the 21st Avenue South ramp, 5th Street South lot, and 19th Avenue South ramp; hourly or event rates apply.

The Regis West Gallery presents work by faculty and students, as well as collaborative projects with arts and cultural organizations. The Department of Art annually hosts the Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards exhibition, in partnership with the Art Educators of Minnesota and the Weisman Art Museum, featuring hundreds of artworks by high school students across the state that spans the gallery's two floors.
