CSCL Student Association

Are there posters in your bedroom of John Waters movies? Do you read Nietzsche in your spare time? Have you ever wanted to meet more people who want to talk about claymation? The Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature Student Association (CSCLSA) is an organization that fosters the growth of the unique student community it represents.

The student association is open to department majors and minors, as well as students outside the department who are interested in the media, cultural studies, literature, cinema, and the human experience. The association holds weekly meetings in historic Nicholson Hall. Even if you can't make the weekly meetings, it's still possible to be involved in association activities, and everyone is welcome. In addition to meetings, CSCLSA hosts events, screenings, off-campus explorations around the Twin Cities, and undergraduate symposiums where students can share their work and ideas.

Student leadership in this association offers the unique opportunity for students to collaborate with their peers to enhance the growing CSCL community. This student association works closely with the department and group members contribute valuable input towards improving our growing programs. All CSCL and SCMC majors are automatically members of the student association.

For questions, to check for updates on when and where we are meeting, or just to introduce yourself, email csclsa@umn.edu or join the Facebook group. Hope to see you soon!
