The Department of French & Italian offers two graduate degrees in French studies: 

  • PhD in French studies
    For those who are striving to acquire extensive knowledge of French studies through rigorous research, culminating in a dissertation.
  • MA in French studies
    For students who are interested in pursuing an advanced understanding of French literary and cultural studies.

Finally, the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in French Studies is a 15-credit graduate-level program intended for teachers of French or anyone wishing to further their knowledge of French language and French/Francophone literature, culture and film.
