Mario Ángel Pérez (MM 2018, voice, student of Adriana Zabala) and Justin Anthony Spenner (MM 2013, voice, student of Philip Zawisza), the B-Sides Art Song Collective, present Do You Drear What I Drear (a hella miserable holiday concert) on December 13 at 7 pm at the Underground Music Café (Minneapolis, MN). The event is a unique experience of sharing the holiday blues with your fellow audience members. Are you tired of the happy, sappy, same feel-good carols of every holiday season? B-Sides Art Song Collective brings you musical performances about displacement, loneliness, and just the holiday blues. From Claude Debussy to Joni Mitchell, Robert Schumann to Stevie Wonder, this concert will feature compositions and arrangements of Waltzing on Waves (Jen Bluhm) from all different eras that demonstrate the “B-Side” of the Xmas spirit.
