Student SeongKyeong Kim wins University Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition

Congratulations to DMA student and pianist SeongKyeong Kim, winner of the 2019-20 University Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition.

SeongKyeong Kim will perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the University Symphony Orchestra in Ted Mann Concert Hall on February 12, 2020. Ms. Kim is a DMA student of Paul Shaw.

Yu-An Chen was awarded an honorable mention for her performance of Saint-Saëns' Piano Concerto No. 2. Ms. Chen is a student of Alexander Braginsky.

Judges Catherine Kautsky, Mark Mandarano, and Jesse McCormick wish to express their gratitude to all contestants for their impressive performances.
