Psychology Advising Announcements
1. S/N Grading Option - Spring 2020
Students received an email last week about the temporary change in the grading basis policy. Additional information is still coming out via a follow-up email on: (1) how to make the change from A-F to S/N and (2) FAQs that students may have about the impact of S/N grades for future plans (e.g., Graduate and Professional school applications). Please watch your email carefully for that email follow-up. Students have until April 15th to make your final decision. S/N grades in Spring 2020 will be able to count for the PSY Major and Minor.
2. Fall Registration Opens April 9th - Schedule an Appointment Soon
Registration for the Fall semester is coming up quickly (you should be able to see your registration time on MyU now too!). Right now, our calendars are open and we are ready to help you pick your fall courses. Our schedules have been known to fill quickly so if you have any questions or concerns about Fall registration, sign up for an appointment soon! You are also welcome to see us on drop-ins (done through Zoom!) and email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to meeting with you!
3. Resources Moving Online
We have received alerts that many offices on campus are moving to online services so you can still get assistance, even off-campus! We will try to keep a running list of some of those services:

4. Psych Club Updates
Due to recent events related to COVID-19 communicated in full here, Psych Club will be undergoing permanent changes to our upcoming schedule and we are quickly adjusting to online, interactive communication via Zoom, Google Hangouts, and more. The following newsletter will be psych clubs form of weekly communication with all students/members and will be sent out weekly, on Wednesdays. Many people are already subscribed to this newsletter, however, if you are not yet subscribed but interested in keeping up with information related specifically to psychology club, as well as resources for all students struggling in any capacity with COVID-19 as we are aware everyone on campus is impacted either directly or indirectly. Please reach out to the Vice President, Ellis Raduenz via email with any questions, comments, or concerns and be well!
5. Psi Chi Payment HOLD

6. Applying to Law School Webinar

This webinar is open to all UMN students and alumni, but it’s especially for those who know they're going to law school and would like guidance about the application process. We'll discuss application materials and deadlines, as well as how to prepare your materials so that you are the best law school applicant you can be. If you’re currently in the application process for fall 2020 or thinking ahead to fall 2021 admission, this is the place for you.
7. March Nutritious U Food Pantry - Minneapolis

Do you worry your food might run out before you can buy more? Do you lack reliable transportation to an affordable grocery store? If you struggle to get enough, quality food to eat - visit the Nutritious U Food Pantry on March 24th-27th from 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm! Any registered undergraduate, graduate, or professional student is welcome! No verification of income required. We care about sustainability - if possible please bring your own reusable bag! 8. HIRE BIG 10 - Virtual Career Fair

The Hire Big 10 Plus Consortium is a collaborative group of career services representatives from the fourteen schools in the Big Ten Conference, the University of Chicago, University of Notre Dame and DePaul University.
