Mathi Manavalan Attends the Cognitive Science Conference

Mathi Manavalan and Dr. Stocco

Mathi Manavalan attended The Cognitive Science Conference in Rotterdam, the Netherlands from July 24 to the 27.

The Cognitive Science Society, which organized the event, unites researchers worldwide who share a common goal: understanding the human mind. The Society's mission is to advance Cognitive Science as a discipline and foster scientific collaboration across various fields of study.

At the conference, Manavalan presented research exploring how people use different types of information and their associated uncertainties to make decisions during visual searches, framed within the context of Bayesian Decision Theory.

She also reconnected with her undergraduate research advisor, Dr. Andrea Stocco from the University of Washington-Seattle. A photo of Manavalan with Dr. Stocco at the conference is attached.
